The Kappa Beta chapter of Sigma Chi was founded at the University of North Florida on October 12th, 1991 making us the oldest and most established chapter at UNF by nearly a decade. Since our founding, we’ve grown into one of the most successful fraternities on campus. The fundamental purpose of the Sigma Chi Fraternity is the cultivation, maintenance and accomplishment of the ideals of friendship, justice and learning within our brotherhood. Our mission is to enhance our presence on campus and in the community, and to enrich the lives of our brotherhood based on the ideals and values of Sigma Chi. Not only are we one of the largest fraternities at UNF, but we’re also the one of largest nationally and internationally, with over 300,000 initiates and chapters at over 240 campuses across North America.
Sigma Chi has been enjoying some great successes over the past few years, bringing in another remarkable pledge class each semester. The Kappa Beta chapter has won six chapter of the years in the past decade – no other fraternity in UNF history has ever done that. We have the most leaders in Student Government, Presidential Envoys, Dance Marathon, Inter-Fraternity Council, and many other departments at UNF.
